The interiors are the reason to come: the Kalyana Mantapa with its stained-glass peacock dome, the Durbar Hall with its painted ceilings, and doors of carved rosewood and silver.

On Sunday evenings and through Dasara, the whole exterior is outlined in bulbs for about forty-five minutes. It is worth arranging your day around.
