Rock-cut Shaiva cave temples from the 5th to 8th centuries on an island in the harbour, reached by an hour's ferry.
Ferries run roughly 9am to 2pm from the Gateway and take an hour each way; the last return is around 5:30pm. Closed Mondays and suspended in the monsoon. There are 120 steps from the jetty — a palanquin is available.
