A white marble memorial hall of 1921 set in 64 acres of gardens, now a museum of the colonial city and the best building in Kolkata.
The gardens open earlier than the museum and have a cheaper separate ticket. The museum is closed on Mondays. The evening light show runs after dark except in the monsoon.
